He was predeceased by: his parents, James Harrison Dillard and Mattie Reynolds Dillard; and his siblings, Ethel Branham, Carrie Bell Hincher, Claude Dillard, Grover Dillard, Herman Dillard, Lonnie Dillard, Albert Dillard and Robert Dillard.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Quade (Michael) of Hernando, FL, Steve Dillard (Karen) of Wilkesboro and Mark Dillard (Teresa) of Badin Lake; his grandchildren, Lindsey Smith (Rob) of West Jefferson, Ashley Vanderberry (Andrew) of Fort Mill, SC, Bradley Dillard (Taylor) of Boone, David Dillard and Jacob Dillard of Badin Lake; his great grandchildren, Hayley Smith, Tucker Smith, Emma Vanderberry, Reagan Vanderberry, Owen Vanderberry, Layla Dillard, Josie Dillard and Laynie Dillard; and his siblings, Nannie Dillard of Wilkesboro, Joyce Shehan of Greensboro and Don Dillard of Wilkesboro.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Chapel (270 Armory Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). Visitation was held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home (270 Armory Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659).
