She was predeceased by: her parents, Linville Brown and Dovie Pendry Brown; her husband Benny "Hayden" Roland; and her siblings, Joline Hendrix, Rose Patterson and Don Brown.

She is survived by: her son Benny Isaac Roland (Tonya) of North Wilkesboro; her granddaughter Jessica McCoy (Josh) of North Wilkesboro; her great grandchildren, Brylee McCoy of North Wilkesboro, Grayson McCoy of North Wilkesboro and Weston McCoy of North Wilkesboro; and her sisters, Reba Saunders of Charlotte, Peggy Riddle of Wilkesboro and Barbara Alford (Barry) of West Jefferson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
