He is survived by: his wife Barbara Michael Darnell; his children, Pam Vermillion (Stan) of Johnson City, TN, Libby Miller (Ricky) of Wilkesboro and Jeff Darnell of North Wilkesboro; his siblings, Rocky Darnell (Pat) of Wilkesboro, JD Darnell (Andrea) of West Jefferson and Joyce Pruitt (Jerry) of Laurel Springs; and his grandchildren, Tabitha Garza (Eddie) of Wilkesboro, Tai Church (Brian) of Mt. Pleasant, Travis Darnell (Lauren) of Lansing, Trey Darnell of North Wilkesboro, Will Little (Katy) of Johnson City and Cary Miller (Ryan) of Denver, NC. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
