He is survived by: his wife Mary Truitt Wells; his sons, Mark Wells (Jill) of Knoxville and Bryan Wells (Wendy) of Greensboro; his sister Dare Stromer of Boomer; his grandsons, Cody Wells and Zachary Wells; and his nephews, Aaron Wells (Charlene) of North Wilkesboro and Ronnie Crisp (Ann) of Boomer.
