He was predeceased by: his parents, Todd Wyatt and Lillie Canzada Lunsford Wyatt; his son David Lee Wyatt; and his siblings, Hazel Lunsford, Leonard Wyatt, Arlee Spears and Barbara Holloway.
He is survived by: his spouse Hawkins Wyatt of North Wilkesboro; his children, Gene Wyatt (Shelby) of North Wilkesboro, Ernest Wyatt, Jr. of North Wilkesboro and Sharlett Wyatt of North Wilkesboro; and his sister Ruth Harris of Lake Norman. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and two step great grandchildren.
