She was predeceased by: her parents, Ted McGlamery and Ellen Roberts McGlamery of Purlear, N. C.; her husband Royal Parsons; and her siblings, Betty Dare (Claude Dare) and David McGlamery.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lorene Markland (Charles) of Advance and Gene Parsons-Gilman (Tim) of Calabash, NC; her grandson Charlie Markland (Paige) of Wellington; and her great grandchildren, Eli Lawhon of Wellington, Vanessa, Ava, Mia and Timmy Gilman of Baltimore. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
