He was predeceased by: his father Calvin Esker; and his grandparents, George, Hattie St. John, Luther and Virginia Nicks.
He is survived by: his mother Wilma St. John Nicks; his sister Tammy Vannoy (Chal); his nephews, Clint Roten (Amanda) and Cody Roten (Hannah); his great-nieces, Caroline Roten and Delacey Hamilton; and his great-nephew Terence Hamilton.
