He was predeceased by: his parents, John Olden Anderson and Johnsie Bell Miller Anderson; his son Jason Dewayne Anderson; his siblings, James "Jimmy" Anderson and Mary Jane Lowe; and his grandson Zackary Cochran.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Lee Cain Anderson; his children, Gail Parks (Ricky) of Yadkinville, Penny Cochran (Larry) of North Wilkesboro, Tim Anderson of Denver, NC and Dalton Anderson (Anne) of North Wilkesboro; and his brother David Lee Anderson of North Wilkesboro. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
