She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Johnson and Vergie Gregory Johnson; her husband Wayne Dancy; and her sisters, Geraldine Pearson Cook and Anna Lou Bach.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Dancy Casey (Steve) of Hays and Ricky Wayne Dancy of North Wilkesboro; her sister Carolyn Dearman of North Wilkesboro; her siblings-in-law, Betty Dancy Elledge of North Wilkesboro and Clyde Cook of Wilkesboro; and her nieces and nephews, Kimberly Dearman-Wilcox (Shaun), Tamera Dearman Newton (Steve), Kandice Dearman West (Chris), Kassidy Caroline Newton, Cameron David Newton and Joseph Stephen Newton. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
