She was predeceased by: her parents, Silas H. Renegar and Elizabeth Grose Renegar; her husband Edward Eugene Brown; and her siblings, Odell, Alton, Carlie Clinton Renegar and Nina Melton.
She is survived by: her children, Tommy Brown (Rebecca) of North Wilkesboro and Wanda Cleary (Ronnie) of Hays; her grandchildren, Samantha Lusk (Freddie) of North Wilkesboro, Kristy Cothren (Marty) of Hays, Amanda Robinson (Stephen) of Asheville and Daniel Brown (Keri) of North Wilkesboro; her great grandchildren, Sydney Ratliff (Hunter), Mary Cothren, Katie Cothren, Callan Brown and Sunny Johnson; and her sisters-in-law, Geneva Renegar of Mocksville and Julie Brown of Wilkesboro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
