He is survived by: his daughter Candy Anderson (John) of Hays; his close friend Ashley Walters of Hays; his stepsons, Matthew Shumate (Billie) of Jonesville and Jacob Shumate of North Wilkesboro; and his grandchildren, Brayden, Landen, Makenna, Dakota, Kylie and Waylon.
