It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Lee Shepherd of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on July 1, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Lewis and Vergie Alena Pendry Watkins; her husband Billy Edwin Shepherd; and her siblings, James Carlton Watkins and Judy Kaye Watkins Tinch.
She is survived by: her sister Frances Ann Watkins Martin (Marty) of Woodstock, Georgia; her sister-in-law Janie Burline Smith Watkins of Greenville; her children, Kimberly Walker (Kirk), Karen Hill (Reggie) of North Wilkesboro and Barry Shepherd (Laura) of Nashville, TN; her grandchildren, Brandon Walker (Ashley), Whitney Walker Nolan (Chris), Daniel Hill (Deryck Wilson), Patrick Hill, Fran Shepherd and Parker Shepherd; and her great grandchildren, Maddux Walker, Braley Walker and Caroline Nolan. She is also survived by her many friends and family members.
