She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Edward and Hattie Miller Anderson; her husband Sherrill Handy; her brother Bobby; and her son Stuart.
She is survived by: her son Michael Handy; her siblings, Charles Anderson (Barbara) and Lee Anderson; her daughter-in-law Gaye Handy; her grandchildren, Summer Handy (Marcus Logan), Josh Handy (Hannah), Christina Handy and Jake Dancy (Tasha Claudio); and her great grandchildren, Jamarion Hairston, Samara Hairston and Skyann Logan.
