He was predeceased by: his parents, George Major Church and Nettie Ettybell Adams Church; his daughter Elizabeth Huffman; and his brothers, Richard, Marvin and Darnell Church.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Milam Church; his children, Susan Rose (Steven) of North Wilkesboro, Diane Royal of Millers Creek, William Church (Dorothy) of Hays and Jody Church (Darlene); and his brother Jay Church (Kathy) of North Wilkesboro. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
