We are sad to announce that on December 2, 2021, at the age of 95, Irene Merriman Whitney (Norlina, North Carolina), born in Doniphan, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Merriman and Hattie Merriman; her husband Junior Whitney; and her sons, Edward Whitney (Eli) and Dennis Whitney.
She is survived by: her children, Bobby Whitney of Macon, NC, Peggy Horne of Macon, NC, Gary Whitney (Wanda) of Disputanta, VA, Harold Whitney (Jay) of Macon, NC and David Whitney (Joyce) of Murray, KY.; and her grandchildren, Shelly, Dawn (Michelle), Cathy, Dennis, Richie, Jalena, Jason, Aaron, Travis and Sarah.
