He is survived by: his friends, Irene Steed of Norlina and Esther Steed of Georgia; his children, Mary Stevenson of Charlotte, Vernell Steed of Charlotte, Tanya Steed of Norlina, Tiquea Steed of Norlina, Brenda Steed of Winston-Salem, Thomas Steed of Jersey City and Anthony Steed (Berta) of Norlina; and his sister Hattie S. Durham (Orlandus) of Silver Springs, Maryland. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
