He was predeceased by: his stepparent Lloyd D. Bennett. He is survived by: his spouse Nancy Laudermilk Simmons; his son Jeffrey Dean Simmons; his grandchildren, Ian, Izzy and Aiden; his siblings, Ralph Stephen Simmons and Susan Bennett Vick; his brothers-in-law, David Vick and Bobby Laudermilk; and also Kathryn Simmons. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
