He was predeceased by: his parents, William McKinley and Doris Opal Hollar Bowlin; and his brothers, Charles, David and Richard.

He is survived by: his siblings, Sam Bowlin of Vale, Carolyn Bowlin Rowe (Robin) of Statesville and Barbara Bowlin Williams (David) of Hickory. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Walkin' Roll Activities League, Inc. in Steve's name.
