He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Leslie Guernsey and Lorraine Andrus Guernsey. He is survived by: his wife Frances Sisk Guernsey; his daughter Geneen Guernsey Chafin (Brent) of Catawba; his siblings, Don Guernsey (Lynn) of Michigan and Linda Jean Edwards of Indiana; his sister-in-law Libby Sisk Baker of Lincolnton; his daughter-in-law Patsy W. Johnson; his granddaughters, Angela Johnson Shook (Chad) of Huntersville and Missy Johnson; his pets, Mugsy, Little Boy Buster, Calli and Stormi; and his caregiver Rhonda Blevins. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Bennett Funeral Service (7878 NC-16, Newton, NC 28658). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
