He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Valenta and Marion Wolfert Valenta; his daughter Robin Valenta (Michaela) of Pawling, NY.; and his siblings, Charles Valenta and Janet Grace Hluboky.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Eyes Valenta; his daughters, Christine Gotthardt (Tom) of New Fairfield, CT, Lisa Walker (Bruce) of Cape Carteret, NC and Jennifer Benderer (Conrad) of Denver, NC.; and his grandchildren, Samantha Gotthardt, Michael Valenta, Robin Walker, Thomas Gotthardt, Sydney Walker, Nicholas Benderer, Kyle Benderer and Nolan Walker.
