She is survived by: her sons, Carlton Thomas Starnes (Lois) of Denver and Michael Allen Starnes (Janice) of Conover; her son-in-law James Abernathy of Maiden; her sister Thelma Icard of Conover; her sisters-in-law, Joyce "Joy" Buff and Leota Scarbrough of Hickory; her grandchildren, Scott Hedrick (Linda) of Claremont, Renea Hedrick Lee (Roger) of Maiden, Lesley Starnes Averitt of Denver, Michelle Starnes Shelly (Bill) of Conover and Lynn Starnes (Tina Huffman) of Conover; and her great grandchildren, Brianna Lee, Lauren Averitt Visi-Clark (Josh), Courtney Erb (Hunter), Merritt Hullett, Haley Hullett, Luci Starnes, Maria Starnes, Luke Starnes, Sarah Starnes, Addison Starnes, Christopher Hedrick, John Hedrick and Scotty Hedrick.
