She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Clarence Abernathy, Sr. and Annie Mae Hollar Abernathy; her former husband Jack M. Setzer; her husband Bryson Sweezy; her son Keith D. Setzer, Sr.; and her siblings, Mabel Carrigan, Jean Carter, Marie Pope and Clarence Abernathy.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Benfield of Conover and Dawn Stephens (Wayne) of Connelly Springs; her siblings, Homer C. Abernathy, Jr. (Virginia) of Claremont, J. W. Abernathy (Kathryn) of Claremont, Ann Howell of Newton and Margaret Huffman of Newton; and her grandchildren, Crystal Moore (Bill), Martin Benfield, Keith Dewayne Setzer, Jr. (Monica), Christopher Setzer, Austin Rusty Setzer, Ronald Stephens and Brittney Powell (Bradley).
