She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Minnigan and Emma Stokes Minnigan; her grandson Christopher Oneil Minnigan; her siblings, Elizabeth Minnigan and Glenn Stokes; and her great grandchild Chekeem Jamar Hickman, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Haywood Minnigan of Newton, James Hickman (Clarissa) of Lenoir, Christina Minnigan of Hickory and Heather Hickman of Hickory; the father of her children Edward Hickman of Conway, SC.; her sisters, Eunice Stokes of Eutawville, SC and Jeanette Brown of Newport News, VA; and her aunt Annie Mae Stokes of Eutawville, SC.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (2070 Shiloh Rd, Claremont, NC 28610). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
