Sylvia Montene Henderson Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 26, 2023, at the age of 88, Sylvia Montene Henderson of Newton, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Freeman Eugene and Dorothy Miller Thornburg; her former husband Earl Lane of Newton; her husbands, James Low of Orlando and Michael Henderson of Knoxville; and her sisters, Doris Hurley and Priscilla Matthews of Newton.

She is survived by: her son Stephen Eugene Lane (Terri); her grandchildren, Justin Lane-Brady (Tommy), Elliot Lane (Tannyha) and Stephanie Lane (Cameron); her great grandchildren, Leo Lane-Brady, Liam Lane and Noah Lane; and her nieces, Vivian Souther (Ricky) and Martha Leatherman (Ron).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Salvation Army of Hickory.
