With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sibyle Abernethy Hager (Newton, North Carolina), who passed away on September 13, 2021 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thurman Ray Abernethy and Eva Punch Abernethy; her brother Terry; and her grandmother Anna Sigmon Punch (Pinkney Hazelius Punch). She is survived by: her husband Loyd Gregory Hager; her sister Trudy Abernethy Hunicke (William E.); her sister-in-law Vicky Hager Turner (late Joe E. Turner Sr.); her children, Brian Gregory Hager (Taryn) and Leslie Hager Bolick (Richard); her great grandchildren, Leigha Hager, Bradley Hager-Lugo (Jessica Hager-Lugo) and Benjamin Hager; her stepgrandchildren, Jennifer Bolick Reynolds (Brenden), Joshua Bolick, Jacob Medina (Britni) and Daniel Medina (Molly); her great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Charlotte and Penelope Hager-Lugo; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Nolan, Zoiey Bolick, Braxton, Emma Reynolds and Kaison Medina; her cousins, Betty Watts, Darvin Punch (Arlene), Vicky McGuirk (Gary), Ginny Jefferies (Richard), Julie Wright (Chris), Caroline McGuirk and Katie Jeffries; her sons, Wyatt and Brooks; her nieces and nephews, Kristin Hunicke Cugnon (Xavier), William Kyle Hunicke, Kari Hunicke Hatley (Andy), Cindy Hord (Jerry), Sandy Plank (Eddie) and Reverend Joe Turner Jr. (Angie); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Eva, James Hatley, Cody, Lily Hunicke, Margaux Cugnon and Joey Turner (Brandy); and her children, Levi, Lexi, Remi and Chris Turner.
The family is requesting that all attending wear masks.
