With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sherrard Smith of Newton, North Carolina, who passed away on October 20, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ernest Jacobs and Annie Laurie Jacobs; her sons, Joel Smith (Karen) of Newton and Bill Smith, Jr. (Sherry) of Lenoir; her sister Mary Katherine Lewis (David Leon) of Newton; her grandchildren, Jake Smith (Melinda) of Minneola, FL, Justin Keever (Hannah) of Lenoir, Austin Caldwell of Newton, Justen Bowman of Hildebran and Whitney Winkler (Dustin) of Lenoir; her nieces, Sherrard Ann Martin (Billy) of Morganton and Shannon Lewis of Winston-Salem; her husband William Wayne Smith, Sr.; and her grandsons, Trey Smith III and Luke Ervin. She was also cherished by 10 great grandchildren.
