It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shelvie Workman Ballard of Newton, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on January 6, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Lorena Sigmon Workman; her daughter Amanda Edwards; and her pet Sierra. She is survived by: her sister Cousin (Libby Deal); her cousins, Jeff Jones (Dianne) of Catawba, Terry Jones (Judy) of Newton, Tim Jones (Vanessa) of Newton, Corey Jones (Kim), Hickory, Pat Black of Newton, Kevin Black (Lisa) of Newton and Karen Moss (Patrick) of Newton; and her grandson Johnathan Helms.
