With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sara Ruth Butler of Newton, North Carolina, born in Addison, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 10, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Tissue and Flo Tissue (Holliday); her husband John Woodrow Butler; her son Teddy Wayne Butler; and her brothers, Michael Tissue and David Tissue.
She is survived by: her children, John Michael Butler of Newton, NC, Daniel Timothy (Edie) and Donna Kohlhase (Lee) of Mesa, AZ; her brothers, Max Tissue of Hagerstown, MD and Joseph Tissue of Charlotte, NC; her granddaughter Lori Gibson (Jim Rawlins); and her brothers, Daniel Butler, Jr. (Megen) and David Butler (Patricia). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
