He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas C. Heavner and Ella Powell Heavner; his son Mark Heavner; and his grandson Michael Heavner. He is survived by: his wife Sue Davis Heavner; his children, Sue Willis of Wilmington, Sharon Cline (Ronnie) of Hildebran and Stephen Heavner (Bob Williams) of Hickory; and his close friend Carroll Chapman. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two sisters; two brothers.
