It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Burgess of Newton, North Carolina, who passed away on September 29, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Robert Leroy Burgess. He is survived by: his mother Johnnie Laura Taylor of Kings Mountain; his sons, Robert Burgess (Rita) of Shelby and Alan Burgess (Savannah) of Hickory; his sisters, Debra Dixon (Harold) of South Carolina, Teresa Riley of South Carolina and Tracy Harris (Harold) of South Carolina; his granddaughters, Emma Grace of Shelby and Summer Whitner of Shelby; and his great grandchildren, Remi and Bentley. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
