He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Fox Branton; his daughters, Lisa Atkins of Newton, NC, Denise Hacker, Darlene Taylor and Debbie Caldwell; his siblings, Weldon Branton and Allene Brown; his grandchildren, Kyle Burton of Newton, NC, Emily Burton of Mooresville, NC and Katie Burton of Taylorsville, NC; his great grandchildren, Taydem Burton of Newton, NC and Isaiah Aldridge of Long View, NC; and his pet Little Bit. He is also survived by great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren.
