It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Allen (Newton, North Carolina), born in Dillon, South Carolina, who passed away on December 31, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Wesley Allen, Sr. and Mary Belle McCormick Allen of Yazoo City, MS; and his siblings, Mary Imogene "Genie" Allen, Imogene Erickson (John) of Yazoo City, Olivia Kirk Bowman (Robert) of Bentonia, MS, Charles Wesley Allen, Jr. and David Emory Allen (Kathy) of Yazoo City.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Day Allen of Claremont, NC; his children, Christopher William Allen of Boulder, CO and Frances Leflore Allen of Dallas, NC; and his sisters, Barbara Ann Allen Swayze (Carl Clayton II) of Benton, MS and Frances Lorraine Barbour (Jeptha Fowlkes III) of Jackson, MS. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
