He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Edward Harvell and Lena Mae Cooke Harvell; his wife Sandra Harvell; his son Scotty Harvell; and his siblings, Babe Harvell and Marlene Boggs.
He is survived by: his children, Ray Joe Kaylor of Newton, Timothy Harvell (Tina) of Maiden, Susan Moretz of Newton and Lori Carr of Newton; his sister Martha Setzer (Mickey) of Denver, NC; and his grandchildren, Amy, Andy, Jared, Jameson, Dustin, Misty, Jonathan, Adam, Kristopher and Scotty. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
