It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ray Edward Dellinger (Newton, North Carolina), born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on October 3, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his father Chesley Yates; his brothers, Harvey, Lewis and Carl Dellinger; and his son-in-law Michael Pope.

He is survived by : his wife Brenda King Dellinger; his children, Mark Dellinger (Jennifer), Treva Pope and Penny Dellinger-Schenk (Bob); his brother Chesley Dellinger Jr.; and his grandchildren, Barbi Mills, Wiley Sigmon IV, Kelly Sarver, Adam Sigmon and Nicholas Pope. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
