He was predeceased by: his parents, R. C. Kirby and Laura Belle Queen Kirby; and his siblings, Floyd Kirby, Ernest Kirby, Gene Kirby and Daisy King.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Watson Kirby; his children, Steve Kirby (Judy) and Jan Kirby Harris (Joel); his sister Pat Cline (Bill) of Hickory Twelve; and his grandchild Twenty. He is also survived by Twenty-four Great-Grandchildren.
