He was predeceased by: his parents, Pink Ivey Swink and Lola Creola Swink; and his siblings, Tommy Gene Swink, Jimmy Swink, Johnny Swink, Ruby Helms, Toad Canipe, Paul Swink and Betty Swink.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn May Swink; his children, Tammy Keener (Todd) of Lincolnton, Amy Leatherman (Allen) of Vale and Jamie Swink (Tonya) of Lincolnton; his grandchildren, Caleb, Noah Keener of Lincolnton, Peyton Leatherman of Vale, Landon Eastridge of Lincolnton and J. T. Leatherman of Vale; and his great grandchild Caroline Keener. He is also survived by several siblings, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
