With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Phyllis Harris of Newton, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Lee Harris Sr. and Beulah Barker Harris; her brothers, Roy, Kenneth and Harris; her son Ricky Harris; and her former husband William Harris.
She is survived by: her son Kevin Harris (Martha Harris) of Newton; her grandchildren, Briam Romito, Dillon Harris and Jenna Romito; her stepgrandchildren, Amanda Cox, David Hasson, Tim Hasson and Felicia Mitchem; and her sisters-in-law, Audrey Harris, Sally Harris and Carolyn Harris. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rose Chapel Methodist Church. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to her church, Rose Chapel Methodist Church in Statesville or the Hospice House of Catawba County.
