He is survived by: his wife Mary Pipkin Lafontaine; his daughters, Lindsey Lafontaine and Elsie Wright of Mt. View, NC; his siblings, John Lafontaine of Wilmington, NC, Sue Ann Thrasher and Lisa Lafontaine; and his grandson Graham.
