He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlin Towery and Nellie Bowman Towery; his wife Lula Viola Towery; and his sister Bonnie Lane. He is survived by: his children, Sammy Oland Towery (Kim) of Claremont, Paula Sigmon (Johnny) of Claremont and Lynn Starnes (Tommy) of Hickory; his brother Jerry J. Towery (Betty) of Gulf Port, MS.; his grandchildren, Mark Sigmon, Reggie Sigmon, Chad Starnes, Chasity Buckner and Chase Towery; his great grandchildren, Marcus Sigmon, Maxton Sigmon, Avery Starnes, Audrey Starnes, Abby Buckner, Evan Buckner and Brandle Shuford; and his pet Daisy The Towery.
