It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patty Whitener Stallings of Newton, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on January 1, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Logan Jacob Whitener and Bertha Jane Arndt Whitener; her husband Franklin A. "Sam" Stallings; and her siblings, Robert Alexander, George L. Whitener, Glenn R. Whitener, Charles E. Whitener, Virginia W. Corpening and Betty W. Travis.
She is survived by: her children, Billy J. Stallings (Leneta) of Maiden and Cathy S. Saunders (Jack) of Newton; and her grandchildren, Allison S. Grant (Dewey), Brad Campbell, Connie L. Sherrill and Brad Sherrill.
