It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mildred Lena Deese of Newton, North Carolina, who passed away on September 30, 2021, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Helms and Connie Schrum Helms; her husband Paul David Deese, Sr.; and her siblings, Blair Helms, James Helms, Paul Helms, Helen Jones, Ginny Burris and Orpha Self.

She is survived by: her son Paul David Deese, Jr. (Rebecca Lay Deese); her granddaughter Paula Deese Pinchera (David); her great grandchildren, Kamron Sigmon and Chase Pinchera; and her sister Margie Helms Hughes of Sacramento, California..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Pisgah United Methodist Church, 4950 Little Mt. Rd, Catawba, NC, 28609.
