She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Pickett and James Pickett; her husband Richard T. Shufelt; and her siblings, Carlton Pickett of James Pickett and Priscilla Dacus.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sandra Shufelt of Germantown and Susan Buchanan of Newton; and her sister Earline Sugden of Baltimore.
