We are sad to announce that on May 18, 2018, at the age of 89, Martha Wofford (Newton, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by: her siblings, Johnny (Jeanette), Jennie, Willie and Jim; her husband Ben Wofford; her sons, Jeff, Jim and Jennifer; her grandchildren, Jessica, Christopher, Jared, Denise and Molly; her great grandchildren, Stella and Liam; her nieces and nephews, Kathy, David, Mary Ruth, Steve, John Michael, Amy, Mike, Jennifer and Mark; and her friend Mary Ann.
Jean loved people and enjoyed volunteering at The Corner Table soup kitchen so the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to feed the hungry of Newton or choose to volunteer some time with the residents of Abernathy Laurels playing Jean's favorite game- noodle ball!
