With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margery Mae Sawdey Bass of Newton, North Carolina, born in Mellen, Wisconsin, who passed away on July 2, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Everette M. Sawdey and Edna Drechsel Sawdey; her husband Joe Bass Jr.; her sons, David Eric Bass and Randolph Kasey Bass; and her siblings, Dorothy Sawdey, Raymond Sawdey and Mahlon Sawdey.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Bass (Sonia) of Conover and Cynthia Bass West of Hickory; her brother Robert Sawdey of Rockton, IL; her grandchildren, Shannon, Amy, Shaun, Jennifer and Jessica; and her great grandchildren, Joseph, James, Javier, Jaquelene, Bryan, William and David. She is also survived by four great great grandchildren.
