She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer C. Abernathy, Sr. and Annie Hollar Abernathy; her husband James G. Huffman; her son Lee G. Huffman; and her siblings, Clarence Abernathy, Mabel Carrigan, Treva Sweezy, Margie Pope and Jean Carter.
She is survived by: her daughter Kathy McLeod (Ronnie); her siblings, J. W. Abernathy (Katherine), Homer C. Abernathy, Jr. (Virginia) and Anne Howell; and her grandchildren, Airell Hullett (John), James Miller (Danyell) and Taylor Wood (Josh).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Bethel Lutheran Church (5759 Bolick Rd, Claremont, NC 28610). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
