He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Worth Jones and Hazel Wood Aldridge; his son Lloyd Thomas Jones; and his brother Matthew Jones. He is survived by: his wife Lorene Eugena Roberts Jones; his children, Joshua Jones of Newton, Lori April Jones of Newton and Leah Danielle Jones of Hickory; his sister Tina Hamby (David) of Old Fort; his stepmother Rose Pritchard Jones of Black Mountain; his sister-in-law Sylvia Robinson (Rondell) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Ashlee Kirby, Haley Johnson, Joshua Lee Crawford, Peyton Jones, Kyndall Jones, Cierra Jones, Darrell Moss, Jr. (Abbey), Danny Moss and Brandon Jones; and his great grandchildren, Christopher Clontz, Kenzie Kirby, Eli Kirby, Mylo Crawford, Kenleigh Johnson and Darrell Moss III.
