She is survived by: her husband Frank Lee Whitener, Sr.; her son Frank Lee Whitener, Jr. (Penny) of Lincolnton; her siblings, Johnny Hughey and Deborah Grigg (Don) of Newton; her grandchildren, Nicholas Whitener, Miranda "Runt" Whitener, Shelby Abernathy, Orren Weaver and John Charles Whitener (J. C.); and her great grandchildren, Lincoln Whitener, Bradley Whitener and Colt Whitener.
