It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence Dean Allen of Newton, North Carolina, who passed away on June 2, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father William Olson Allen; and his siblings, Jack Allen and Sue Sparks. He is survived by: his children, Gary Allen (Bernice) of Hickory, Bobbie Jean Prater of Hickory and Frances Prater of Hickory; his sister Linda English of Nebo; and his wife Ella Mae Lingle Allen.
