He is survived by: his wife Becky Edmondson Hicks; his children, John Phil Hicks of Conover, Anita Mae Walker (Scott) of Mooresville and Shelly Renae Hicks of Newton; his half-sister Tasha Hicks; and his grandchildren, Whitney, Brandon, MacKenzie and Jaxon.
