With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jeffrey Todd Leatherman of Newton, North Carolina, who passed away on May 21, 2022 at the age of 38. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Johnnie, Jeanette Shubert, Bob and Frances Leatherman. He is survived by: his parents, Lisa Shubert Austin (Tony) of Newton and Bobby Leatherman of Maiden; his brothers, Dustin Leatherman and Daniel Leatherman (Monica) of Stanley, NC; his niece Blaikley Michele Leatherman of Stanley, NC; his nephew Beckett Daniel Leatherman of Stanley, NC; his uncles, Mark Shubert (Kelly) of Newton and David Shubert (Ginger) of Hickory; his aunt Debbie Ball (Jim) of Conover; his cousins, Kelsey Jacobs (Jimmy) of Newton, Brinley Shubert, Huntley Jacobs of Newton, Lexi Wilson (Nick) of Hickory, Luke Shubert (Morgan) of Kentucky, Kody Shubert of Newton, Heather Sigmon of Conover, Autumn Harris of Hickory, Nick Wilson and Jimmy Jacobs; and his close friends, Travis Beard and Chris Mauney.

Because Todd always wanted to be a witness for the Lord Jesus Christ, we ask that memorials be made to the Gideons International, Mountain View Baptist Church, or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
